Trev. The camera is a 'hacked' Sony S600 its a regular digital camera, obsolete now,and these are purchsed second hand, and a kit is bought from states, and the poor little Sony S600 is hacked and butchered like something in a 'Cyberman' factory!
The end result,is a camera that is in a water proof box, with 'port hole',and connected to two D size batteries, and then tied to a tree in the middle of now where,a sensor picks up movement, and the camera starts taking images. To get that data,it all old school,I have to travel back to it and swap cards.
They cams generally last two months or more, although if put near a water hole in a drought, where hig traffic would run low sooner. This one on Bunya Mts,has been out for two and a half months.
Its kinda like a chess game,a mix of all my hobbies-hunting/photography/trapping although these days, there not hobbies but work,as working for govt on dingo patrol, nice view from the office though........
