Orion ShortTube 80

Hi,
I’m selling my guiding equipment as I no longer have time to image thanks to work. This is my primary guide scope, the Orion Short Tube 80. It’s a basic telescope but does the job of guiding very well. The scope itself is in almost perfect condition and has been housed inside whilst not in use. It has been upgraded with a Bintel Crayford Focuser 10:1 to reduce the flexure in the standard focuser. This made very noticeable improvements in images and allowed longer subs. Although this is a very popular guide scope, it will also make a great beginner scope for someone who is interested in astronomy.

A popular telescope distributor is selling these for $219 and $199 for the focuser ($418). I’m asking $250 + shipping if required.

Pick up from Baulkham Hills (inner west Sydney) would be preferable; shipping can be arranged if that suits however.

PM me for more details/ offers.

Cheers,
Angus.
