Boating/sailing - being in the Navy 12 years helped that along. Had a nice 37 foot John Alden when I lived in Bermuda.
Diving - useful when my boat sank - at least I got to use it still. Bermuda was fantastic for diving.
Camping - got used to that in the Navy as well. My tent is nicer than issue ones and easier to put up. Don't have to carry it as far either.
Shooting - got real good at that My service docs have X on them (expert) - ended up as a shoot captain at the pistol club. Good survival tool - get to collect skins as well, though I don't have any at present.
Gave it up when Jack Boot Johnny decided we weren't to be trusted and wore a flack jacket under his shirt. A##hole
Bushwalking - sometimes. Though I get bored walking behind people so don't do it as often as I might.
