If the red dot finder they included is the same as with the older Nexstar scopes then it's not very good and big C should be ashamed of themselves... does it look like a little rifle sight with a bright red dot in the middle?
I use a Rigel Quikfinder on my C8 and smaller scopes...it's small and light, can be found at

For the same price though, you can get a Telrad...quite a bit bigger but with one extra outer ring.
