There are some great spider and ant killers on the market which are reasonably human safe.
The best I have found is one used by pest control specialists with an active ingredient called Bifenthrin. It is a killer as well as a repellent and works exceptionally well. I buy it from Landmark Farm supplies . It is sold under the name WebZone. Bunnings used to sell a similar product. It lasts about 10 - 12 months at home on spiders and supposedly 10 years for termites and ants.
Great start to the image Paul, Mega data and good calibration should make this image really pop. Narrow band, whilst I am not a fan of the colour scheme should show detail in this image that normal RGB just can't manage.
