Belangolo. Been there to visit the memorial many times. And to do some 4 wheel driving. Always a dread and eerie place, made more so by the known macabre history and the silence broken by the cries of black cockatoos. Girlfriend and I will one day camp there overnight...when we're brave enough. Funny what your perceptions add to the feel of a place. Hard not to think of the horror experiences of the people of the past...known and yet to be known.
