I always found the Takahashi 7x50 was a nice finder, but my favourite still is the Vixen 7x50, which I have fitted with a non-rotating helical focuser, and use as my guidescope. It shows a near perfect image with minimal field curvature. (The Tak shows a touch more curvature, and is not readily adaptable to the helical focuser since they altered the rear mounting interface). The Vixen makes a VERY fine little telescope in it's own right with a 24mm or so EP in the back.
I like the SV finders, but find the Vixen and Taks just a touch clearer/sharper. The Vixen's are Synta made by memory, so must pick he best of the batches, since all the SW branded ones I have looked through are horrible. The Tak finders I think are still Japanese sourced - I once knew the maker of the glass, but cannot recall - they are a small firm.
I must say though that I still love the little Tak 6x30 and the Vixen equivalent. I kept my Tak 6x30 when I sold the stuff recently - THAT good. I fitted a 7x50 on the FCT-100, as that is specifically what they sold with from new (NEVER with the 6x30).
