Ha!
As a uni student back in the 80s, I used to work temporary night shift at OzPost every christmas (in the days when post was the dominant form of communication!).
We were shown how to toss parcels 3-5 metres into destination-sorting bins.
The long-standing joke was that there were 2 ways to split the atom: the Einstein-physics approach, or by putting an atom into a parcel labelled 'fragile' and send it OzPost!
Seems like nothing has changed....
I figure the only way to thwart the 'tossers' is to include 18 kg of lead or concrete with your item so as to make the package non-tossable!
