Hi Jorge, nice shot! The reason you don't see the dust band in your photo... the dust band is only 4" long!! (
see the Hubble image here and play with the contrast to see the dust band, or
the preview here). It's buried right in the core of the nucleus. So I don't think you need to feel bad about missing the dust band...
