That's a brilliant effort for 20-second subs! I've just started processing up a bunch of 30-second Carina shots I took on a really windy night (so impossible to guide) was surprised how much detail showed up, but I don't think it's as much as you have here - well done.
I read a little about NGC 55 when looking up about the recent supernova impostor - apparently it may be (if I recall) a barred irregular, so a fair bit like the LMC, but seen edge-on. I think that's an interesting thing to think about when you're looking at the shape of this galaxy.
