Quick M42 NB and trapezium closeup

SPX350 F4.5, ST10XME, Astrodon filters.

Grabbed this before summer bad weather although it was a breezy night. ST10 is very sensitive so got 5sec subs without any blooming to clean up trapezium area. ST10 is great at narrow band. M42 turned out a bit blue, I should have gone for longer SII.

Used the Mintron (GStar-Ex) for a barlow close up of the trap stars and had a go at IR742nm which I though may show the 15th mag stars between the trapezium better but it did not.

M42 Ha-SII Ha OIII.
12x5min each SII Ha OIII.
16x5sec each SII Ha OIII.

Mintron 1.28sec frames at F15.5
UHC+Red 2000 frames each
Blue+Green 500 frames each.
IR 962 frames.

Regards, John.
