First Light on the QSI wsg8 - Helix Revisited

Hi Everyone,

I finally got the new QSI back from the good folks at the USA factory (following an unexpected circuit board failure within 24hrs of ownership) and had my first crack at bicolour NB imaging from the backyard.

This is just a systems test and needs heaps more data, but the potential is there... NB is cool

12x10 min Ha (red)
5 x 10min O3 (blue)
Synthetic green

Next step is to get the Lodestar OAG hooked up and guiding. I'm also struggling with scripting Nebulosity on the mac - really battling to get my head around it - anyone got any tips?

As for this test - I'm delighted to have a result, it's been a loooong time coming! No point in linking to a high res yet, as I'm off to the ASV star party at Nhill on the weekend so hopefully can add more to this and bag some other targets.

A year on from my first effort at this object on the OSC - also pictured below, the AP journey continues.

Cheers & thanks for looking - all constructive comments gratefully received.

Andy
