Note there is a question mark at the end. Yes, I'm asking if that is the crash in question. It seems to be the only one that fits the bill as to timing and logic, you reckon?
BTW I was taking a look at Richie Valens too, how very young he was when that happened. If you go to listen to "La Bamba" though, it is almost always the version by Los Lobos, not him. Valens' version sounds a bit rougher.
There is a theory that "Twist & Shout" was a rework of "La Bamba" originally.
