The figure must refer to the distance between the individual user and a fixed point - NOT the distance between two individual users surely.

Edit: I take it back. Seems like SMOPs rule Gary and Julian. Raymo shows up as 277km from me in Perth, which the Big G assures me is more or less spot on. Sigh, another lost argument
