EQUATORIAL WEDGE FOR MEADE OR CELESTRON.
This is probably the most solid wedge you will ever see; it’s a custom made one off, it weighs over 50kg and is made from 20mm solid steel with Stainless Steel fittings. It’s drilled for both Celestron and Meade fork mount telescopes. It will easily handle a 14inch scope.
The base is cast iron with a 28cm x 34.5cm footprint and features a 22cm bearing to minimise lateral shift during adjustment, its not relying on just the centre bolt for stability. All bolts and bars are stainless steel. Adjustments are smooth and slop free.
I would prefer local pick up but if it has to be transported it would have to be dismantled and sent in two or three boxes due to the weight, most transport companies have weight restrictions and it’s too heavy for the post office.
