Many thanks all, yes Im stoked with it, and only a total imaging time of 15 mins too I will see about exposing even longer on the other nearby nebulae like Triffd, Omega and Eagle next time.
With my unmodded 300D I find that using the UHCS filter, best results are with ISO 1600, I once did a test of several stacked ISO 1600 shots of the Lagoon totalling 1/2 hour, and a single 1/2 hour shot @ISO 200, the ISO 200 shot was way inferior to the series of ISO 1600 shots. That said, Ive taken some other shots last night Im yet to process, at ISO 400, 10 mins each I will see how they go.
