Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your comments, funny things eyepieces, the best eyepiece in the world is either the one you just sold, or the one you haven't bought yet.

Part of the enjoyment of astronomy for me is taking fairly ordinary gear and spending the cloudy nights wringing out of it, every ounce of performance that I can.

An example; recently I invested $200 in a new 80mm f5 refractor on an eq mount, a cheap and cheerful job off an auction site. Focuser was awful, diagonal was out of collimation, mount was lubed with glue, but the rest of it wasn't too bad 'for the money'.

Many cloudy nights later, (I can happily sit in the shed playing telescope for hours) I ended up with a serviceable rich field scope that I enjoy using.

A 'Tak' it aint but it will do me 'til I get a better one... or not. I am just happy to be out there doing it with whatever I currently have.
