Clamshell (90mm diameter)

I bought this on IIS a few years ago. I believe it is an older Stellarvue model but it's not branded.

It's 90mm internal diameter, so fits many 80mm scopes (e.g. William Optics/Astro Tech models, but not the Skywatcher/Orion ED80 scopes as they use wider tubes).

The tightening screws have bolt heads so need to be tightened with a spanner or could easily be replaced by hand-adjustable screws.

I used this as a sliding counterweight on my old Megrez 80 to resolve my balance issues. It worked perfectly for this purpose with the tightness of the bolts set to allow it to slide and stay in place without loosening or tightening.

Asking $40.

Thanks.
