Not always a keen supporter of your opinions, or the way you can be a bit short on patience with some people Bert. And I always expect others to find me a bit off-putting. But this is normal to feel occasional tension between differing personalities, and especially in a small, tight community.
However, always an admirer and keen viewer of your photography.
2 Rupees worth [I believe that's worth less than 2c :-) ]
Sometimes adults will be children because.... well, we all are that too. But the adult part should have learned to forgive because they have had time and experience enough to understand that;
- We all have opinions, and some differ from our own. And,
- that we are participating in a forum whose continued existence depends on this behaviour.
- Forgiving doesn't mean forgetting, it means not holding a grudge, or holding on to insult, or perceived insult (this is a comment and not a judgement on anything that has happened).
- And that we sometimes need to apologise for our behaviour.
We are on a forum that is generally well behaved but where rational, and otherwise thoughtful people sometimes express their momentarily blinkered vision and inadvertently cause offense. After all, we all get a bit in need of a sugar boost or 50 winks occasionally but ignore the signals at times. So they misunderstand, and because we respond in the moment, and don't always re-read a post (or realise we really, really need too) to gain clarity, we can hurt of offend and it is unintentional. However, it's nice to see that others will step up and say so.
As mentioned, without visual cues we can get it wrong because words aren't always sufficient.
Apologies are as necessary as parking meter change in human society. It keeps us civilised. Accepting apologies likewise (see above about forgiveness).
These are just a few thoughts. And probably rambling and unnecessary. But it's a forum for opinions, right? :-)
Anyhoo...
If you go the forum looses one of it's premier imagers, as well as a source of educated knowledge, and we will all miss that contribution. The forum will be poorer for it.
More specifically, no one else is as obsessive about the LMC and SMC as you, so we lose those insanely high quality images you keep giving us of these two fascinating objects.
If you pull the plug then I bid you adieu, and farewell. If not then, welcome back, we barely had time to miss you.
