I think Meade thinks they have created a perfect product in LX200 or the LX400 Telescope, there has not been any updates to the firmware for 8 years...!
I think I've got a news for them - its antiquated, cumbersome and not informative, terrible to use (key registering delay) and could use some refreshing touches.
The calibration and leveling takes 3 goes at the level sensor, the Best of tour has a Coal Sack as interesting object !!!!, an object that can only be enjoyed through binoculars...
I have just connected SkySafari 4+ to the scope and things are looking a lot more interesting now
