Eagle neb colourised Ha

Eagle neb colourised Ha …......(Ha + (OSC)???)

I didn’t realise how much Ha detail the Eagle Nebula had until I saw the superb Ha effort of Terry(TR) http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...d.php?t=124993.

At the time I had just finished chopping 19cm off the rear end of my old Celestron C10N (10”/F4.7) newt to allow me to use my ONAG/filter/corrector/camera gear, so slapped in a Ha filter and with my QHY9M camera grabbed about three hours of five minute subs. Liked the result but wondered if I could jazz it up by adding a OSC image to it but the only image was a rough shot with bloated stars taken last year with my 10”/F5 truss scope and a QHY10C camera. So, two different field of views, two different pixel scales, two different file sizes/types, two different orientations, must have been bored!
Changed the B/W Ha file type to RGB and rotated/flipped the OSC in Photoshop, aligned/rotated/scaled/save each file in Nebulosity, killed the OSC bloated stars in Photoshop and brought both files into Photoshop with the Ha as Lum and the OSC as colour. Then levels/layers etc. I like the end result. Colours don't look odd like a lot of these efforts tend to do.
Hope you like it.
Cheers
Stephen
