Hi,
I've found plonk is the deadly enemy of astro observation.

It should have been easy to figure this out in advance, but I've tried long and hard for a good blend (so to speak), with no success.
I don't know how many times now I've had a good sky at a dark site, then sabotaged myself. My mates never allow me to forget the time I was found asleep with a cowpat for a pillow, by a 12" dob in the early morning, on the Dunville Loop in the Capertee Valley. I was lucky it was summer.
So I've learned to pace it. My favourite special tipple at the moment is Blue Curacao, or white Triple Sec, but as I said, with discipline.
Cheers
