47 Tuc

Only 10x 3-minute subs of the mighty 47 Tucanae. Easily my favourite globular cluster (though NGC 6752 and M28 in Sagittarius are also pretty darn beautiful )

47 Tucanae is the 2nd brightest globular cluster in the sky - a magnificent collection of approximately a million stars, located close to the south celestial pole. 47 Tuc, as it's affectionately known, is so bright it can be seen by the unaided eye even in suburban skies.
This image is a stack of 10x 3 minute subs taken with an AT65EDQ scope, IDAS light pollution filter and Nikon D5100 camera.
