I like a nice Shiraz. Penfolds do some seriously good wines, but their BIN range is getting a bit out of hand price wise. Wirra Wirra's 40th Anniversary Church Block Cab Shiraz Merlot blend is amazingly good (& only $20).

After a recent hot air ballooning trip at Langmeil in the Barossa Valley I've become quite a fan of their Shiraz. It's really great value. But my favourite is the local Bird In Hand "Two In The Bush" Shiraz from the Adelaide Hills. Their Nest Egg was recently awarded world's greatest Shiraz for the 2nd time. Plus they sponsor our footy club, so I have to say that.

I also don't mind a nice cool climate Pinot.

For those of you that like a sparkling red BIH make an amazing sparkling Pinot Noir. Not my fancy, but the ladies think it's great.

Pretty lucky here. I can just go for a 5 - 10 minute drive and get any number of great wines from the local cellar doors.

But right now, I'm going to have an OJ.
