After many trips to hospital and two trips to rehab I gave up the drink 17 months ago or there would be a great chance I wouldn't be writing this now. However I'm not a killjoy and like to see others enjoy themselves.
Yesterday arvo/evening would have been suited to gin with the warm sunny weather here. This morning would have been scotch, warm and comforting in the belly.
Scotch was my poison, every waking hour. I've previously read some here enjoy a good scotch. My favourite was Lagavulin 16 year old single malt, beautiful peaty/smoky flavour, but too expensive to drink all the time. Never add ice to a scotch, a few dribbles of water is OK and on some can even enhance the flavour.
