I just accessed my Paypal account and the first page state's this ,
'We are currently performing regular maintenance of our security measures . Your account has been randomly selected for this maintenance , and you will now be taken through a series of identity verification pages.'
'Protecting the security of your Paypal account is our primary concern, we apologise , bla , bla ,,, '.

They then ask for my credit card details
Why would they need these ? , I am weary of giving these out , is this kosher ? has this happened to anyone else ? am I being overly paronoid ?
. I know the scammers are getting better all the time and I am weary of this page .
