The show has very strong Australian ties and has been shown here since the first year of production I believe, I remember seeing the first season on SBS a long time ago with only Jamie and Adam and an Aussie narrator.
The shows creator and the production company,
Beyond, is Australian and many of the behind the scenes crew are Aussies, you can occasionally hear the crews Aussie accents in some episodes.
