First mono camera image: The Trifid Nebula
I have been setting up and testing some new equipment, plus trialing some new software so this was my test case. This image is from a mono astrophotography camera. A big, but fun learning curve from the dslr.
Total hours: 5:40 hrs
HaLRGB image: 60 min (12x5min), 80 min (6x5min & 5x10 min), 60 min (12x5min), 75 min (15x5min), 65 min (13x5min).
Processed in PixInsight (just playing with the trial version), curves in Photoshop. Still much to learn and get right! Didn't see much difference between the HaLRGB and LRGB versions, but interesting to play around with the process.
Taken using QSI 683 WGS cooled to -20 °C and LX90 8".
Constructive feedback is always welcome.
