This thread has turned into a bit of a Mackay chat session. I have recently purchased a 10" f4.7 skywatcher dob and am in the process of fitting tube rings so I can mount it on my old portable pier. I also have a 8"f4 ota (the mirror is junk) but if you want to see a size comparison. Chris you are welcome to come and have a look. Kevin, I'll have to show you the home mirror silvering process, it is quite simple and fast to do. I have just received some chemicals that will bond the silver to the glass much better.
