I know the person that used to have the dome near Magpies. He was a good mate actually, but has moved to greener pastures at Warwick. I don't know the new residents or if they have put a telescope back in it.
I have some big scopes Chris but their mirrors need a re-coat. Lindon was around the other night with his 8" and we found my 16" had deteriorated so badly it was only working as well as the 8". My 11" needs a new tube and the 10 inch needs a re-figure or something. My two remaining 6 inch Newtonians don't work any better the my latest 4" ED refractor.
I want to get an 8" F4 or F5 sometime for imaging.
