Hi res Saturn, mars and Moon with Q guider monochrome cam.

While waiting for the occultation I tried my hand at hi res imaging using the ol Q guider cam I normally use for guiding DSO imaging.
The Saturn pic is easily the highest resolution pic of the planet I have ever taken. First time Ive captured the faint, dark Crepe Ring. Shot using my 1986 vintage 10 inch scope and Astro Optical Supplies Sampson mount. Scope has a full thickness Pyrex Sutching mirror.

I was using a 2 inch 2x barlow, I ironically bought from Mark Sutching at an IISAC astro cap. Great barlow that securely holds any camera with 2 lock screws

Had a go at the Moon and Mars also with the same settings.
Just looking at Sky Safari Pro 4, on the Saturn pic Ive just managed to get Rhea on the right ant Tethys on the left.

I used Autostakkert software that Houghy put me onto for the aligning and stacking, then used Wavelet function in Registax to finish off.
Cheers
Scott
