Milky Way Widefield feat. trees.

Hey guys,

I wasn't sure if I should post this in the deep space or nightscape section, I decided deep space since there technically isn't much of a foreground just the tops of some trees...

Since moving to Melbourne from Sydney I have been quite disappointed at the lack of clear skies, I gather winter is not the best time for imaging south of the border.

On a rare clear night on Tuesday I drove out to Kyneton, 1 hour north-west of the city.

Dew limited me to 2 minute exposures as the lens fogged up quite quickly and I do not have a dew heater yet. This is a composite of 2 images, one untracked to ensure the trees are still and another 2 minute exposure of the Milky Way itself. I tried not to over edit this one, any criticism is welcome.

Thanks for looking!
