Thanks Justin, the EQ8 and 12" newt. i haven't had the time and or weather to get it up and running at all yet, I had issues with the old synscan firmware pointing completely in the wrong direction etc plus a few other teething issues.
Getting closer to being able to take a picture but progress has been slow. But now thanks to Richard's recent posts in the DIY observatory i will likely get the absco pool pump cover 'observatory'

i've only had the mount for a year. at this stage just a 600d, i have been considering a mono but with this weather i don't think i'd ever manage to finish a picture so am leaning back again toward the cds-600d.
