mind control is like having what you said repeated back to you with a 2ms delay and trying to think of your next words in a sentence ..
animals have instinctive minds .. and act on that. my cat use to wait for me also .. another cat would come home at a certain time .. for food, perhaps .. but always the same time.
dogs are diffferent .. I could look at the ball and he would go and get it .. I think they evaluate and determine what you're looking at and then perceive what's next .. hence when you throw a ball they already are on their way to intercept instead of chase, unlike a cat.
anyways my 1 cent ..

ps. routine is always another aspect of domisticated animals .. the goldfish in my tank know when I remove the glass off the top know either food or a water change .. the latter makes them unhappy
