The images in thread make me think its better than 150-500 Sigma,had a go of one of those,and was not overly fussed.This Tamron one could be worth looking at a bit more,wonder what its like on birds,and how heavy it is-might be harder to hump around the bush.

Be interested to see some animal/bird images.
