Alex, just got your Pm, sorry to hear you are in hospital mate, those socks may be a pain, but they are better than blood clots (been there - had those on warfarin now) had a whole 24 hours in hospital before they scanned and found them. I am just recovering from mixing and laying 2 tons of concrete as a foundation for a new conservatory, my back is now feeling better than it has done for ages - through continued use, keep your spirits up, it helps recovery, a work friend of mine is still learning to walk again, she had a bad car accident, broke her neck and spent 3 months in a coma in intensive care- and then a further year in hospital until the broken neck healed, that was back in 2010, she is still one of the happiest people I know, and is determined to ride her motorbike again. through practice she is up to about 400 yards now in the walking stakes - all through the years forced immobility.
