In response to an inquiry the Explore Scientific eyepieces are in excellent condition with a very impressive optic. These eyepieces are no longer made anymore and are to my understanding a 5 element design with roughly 10mm of eye-relief and a 70' field of view. They are superb in these binoviewers and provide wonderful images for planetary observing and closer looks at DSO's. I have compared them with a pair of 8.5mm Pentax XF's and these ES eyepieces IMO easily provided a much sharper image (although they don't have the same amount of ER).
