Doug,
Have a chat with the planners in the council to see what conditions they have imposed (or thinking of imposing).
Typically, you can argue for conditions to be put on the permit based on "residential amenity" grounds. Eg of residential amenity include traffic, noise, unshielded lights, hours of operation (trucks and lights).
Depending on how close you are, you may want to ask for extra high fencing, re-alignment of entry/exit as well.
