Yea I was surprised at the detail as well. More frames for sure, but I took this on tues night, clear and very cold but with no dew. I was trying a few different scopes and camera settings which took up a lot of my time. The 120mm f5 refractor was struggling with the same short exposures. I dont know whether it was the chill but even at iso 6400 the noise seemed unusually low. Its always nice to capture something but now we have to wait for the clouds and moon again.

8" F6 eq mount newt. 3 x 30 sec, 3 x darks, iso6400 and canon 1100d.
