M20 Trifid nebula

Having admitted that my biggest maxi data was shorter than Mike S' mini , I thought it was time to leave the Hyperstar in the cupboard and go long , in both focal and exposure length. It was a nice clear week in Sydney last week and despite the wind and crappy seeing I was out imaging M20. Definitely not the ideal conditions for my over sampling rig but who cares, it was clear during new moon week .

I decided to image without the CLS LP filter this time and kept to the middle of the sky with confidence Pixinsights DBE tool would help me out, which it did.

Imaged with Canon 60Da. C11 Edge HD using .7x focal reducer (1960mm). Guided with TS OAG9 / Lodestar, PHD2 .
50 x 300 sec exposure ( I had more data but left out 2 hours from one night, the seeing was very poor compared to the other nights)

Processed with Pixinsight. With darks, flats and bias.

Thanks for looking
