Yes, I know. The Halfa always is with large time of exposure. I reckon that the work and risk to only remove the infra-red filter is high. What I would like is to make a complete modification of the camera Canon.
  • remove the infra red filter
  • remove the bayer film (red, green, blue filter) to convert the sensor to mono
  • remove all plastic, accessories and metal not necessary to astrofoto. The goal is to get a camera with low weight. It will be a radical surgery ! To Let only the electronic cards and sensor. With a lightweight plastic box as body.

I have an old 350D Canon. It will be my dead body to this frankenstein transformation !
