I prefer a small amount of cloud for these shots really. They add some interest. I discovered that by accident one night when there was some cloud streaming in and it created a great looking motion effect in the panorama.

Yes ISO6400 is really quite bright with this camera. I suspect Nikon's ISO6400 is a little off. Fuji's is way off. High ISO performance is a sales criteria for a lot of buyers.

Yes it is surprising. The MW had enough light to light up the foreground.
