Just a quick update here for all to know:
the overiding spirit of this comp is learning. It is hard to put down rules to cover all situations. Basically, if damian peach, bird or iceman enters the comp, they are ineligible. you get my drift.
The overiding thing here is learning and getting involved. Yes the neximage is technically a toucam (but to my mind not as good), the meade dsi is a dedicated camera for dso's.
I want to see improvement, a lousy shot at first that someone like iceman or asimov then points you in the right direction re technique and processing and then the next time out, you have improved heaps. You feel good, we feel good, we are all winners from the experience!!
That is what it is about.
Obviously a hand held digicam on an untracked dob is a lot harder to take images with. A single shot from a normal camera even harder. A neximage or meade dsi is easier. All of this is taken into consideration.
So please remember the "spirit" of what this is about!
