There was one superexciting part in the night. While Adrian, Tony and I were setting up I looked up and saw what I thought was a very brightly lite plane very high up. I thought it was strange as it was coming from and heading in a direction not normal for planes in this area (SW to NE) straight through Orion heading towards Gemini. Just as I was doing my final alignment star with Pollux and the "plane" was within 5 degrees of it Ian pipes up "Hey it's the International spacestion!!!" (paraphrased of course to induce more excitement for the readers

)
To say the least we were stunned. I suddenly realized where my scope was pointing. I dashed over but was just not quick enough.

Man was it bright. Way way brighter than venus. As I said I thought it was a *very* bright plane reflecting off the just set sun.
Very exciting. Chalk that one up as a special event

ps necessity is the mother of invention. The laptop eventually worked after I put it on a chair and formed a tent over the laptop and telescope with a couple of towels.
