While I only do "visual" and can not comment on imaging...I do have an Astronomics CLS (light pollution filter) and recently got an Astronomics UHC...
I'd rank them as this...no filter < CLS < UHC...in terms of wispy detail I could pick out of a number of targets...
The CLS was better than no filter but the UHC is better than the CLS...I earlier had the opportunity to compare Ice's DGM UHC and it was better than the CLS...that is when I decided to get a UHC myself...I have not compared the Astronomic UHC versus other brands
While the CLS filter did and does what I wanted it to do, filter out some light pollution in my backyard, the UHC does this too and a bit more...
I got a good deal on the CLS when I bought it some time ago but in hindsight, I should have simply gone UHC from the start...
