From a dark sky site where exposures can be longer, auto guiding would help but not essential.

An 80mm would be okay for nebula but a bit short focal length wise for all but the largest galaxies. Your C14 would be a galaxy killer.

Other items you may need for a refractor are a field flattener and dew heater for the lens, to keep in mind with a tight budget.
