Cheers, Raymo. The focal reducer is a fairly recent purchase and I just wanted to try it out. Not knowing in advance that Trifid is a fairly small target, I went ahead and took this shot with it still attached.
I have uploaded a revised version of this image to Astrobin with correct Gamma for displays set to industry standard 1.22 Gamma. The previous image has a higher star count and arguably more detail but at the expense of the field flatness.
