Thanks Peter. Yep, I know what you are saying and yes I am experimenting. I think what does or doesn't dominate the image is for most purposes an artificial construct anyway. We all start with raw data but end up with something that looks very different.
I am attempting to give greater representation to high frequency details that are present in the data but are often left behind by focusing on lower frequency details. The distribution of frequencies is likely going to change again. Me thinks a discussion over a few wines sounds good.
