the angle of the Lat. plate is identical to the angle of your latitude absolute for me it's 37° 11' 32.5"
from the picture yours looks OK
get a GPS reading and set it at the same Latitude reading

how is the balance with just the centre support and all the weight over 1 point ?

I noticed that the 3rd picture looks wrong ? i cant see the set-up properly though.
the LX 200 panel faces south. the forks point south with tube parallel to the forks the finder on bottom
