Thanks, very interesting indeed.
I've always used the Herald Bobroff AstroAtlas charts for observing the LMC and Mensa, and pretty much everything plotted there was either visible or just visible in my 14.5" dob at a darkish site.
TriAtlas plots a lot more in the Mensa area, and I've always assumed those extra DSOs were something for people with 18" or bigger dobs to hunt down. Can I assume that you are somewhere with an ultra dark sky in order to be attempting them with a 7" Mak?
